Seed Guides are published annually by the Saskatchewan Seed Growers Association in partnership with Western Producer Publications. Printed and distributed in January, the Guides contain timely information about what’s new in the seed industry and crop variety development. Also included is a list of those Saskatchewan Growers who produced pedigreed seed in the past season for sale to commercial producers
As well, the Guides contain variety performance evaluation information, derived from independent tests conducted by the Saskatchewan Variety Performance Group (SVPG). The tests provide producers with information on the agronomic performance of varieties in different regions of the province, assisting them in finding the ones best suited for their farms.
