The Saskatchewan Seed Growers Association (SSGA) is dedicated to the improvement of Pedigreed Seed production and its use by commercial producers. Formed in 1928, SSGA is an incorporated, non-profit organization, representing the interests of more than 800 pedigreed seed growers in Saskatchewan, who produce approximately 400,000 acres of pedigreed seed every year – nearly a third of all the pedigreed seed acreage in Canada. Saskatchewan’s Pedigreed Seed Industry is worth an estimated $389 million to the economy of the province and is the foundation of a $4.3 Billion provincial crop industry.

Seed Industry Plus Insurance program
Made for Seed Growers by Seed Growers insurance programs are now available, offering improved coverage, reduced premiums and lower deductibles. The Seed Industry Plus Insurance Program is available to growers and processors dealing with pedigreed seed. In addition, a stand-alone Errors and Omissions policy has been developed exclusively for members of the Canadian Seed Growers Association across Canada.
